ALTIORA (altiora.kr) is a well-known English kindergarten franchise with about 50 campuses successfully in operation nationwide.

We are opening a new campus in Songpa-gu (right across from beautiful Olympic Park), Seoul, Korea. The nearest subway stations (walking distance) are 올림픽공원역(Olympic Park)/방이역(Bangi) (line 5) and 한성백제역(Hanseong Baekje) (line 9). You can get to most of the major areas in Seoul in 20-30 minutes (e.g., downtown, Gangnam, etc.).

Songpa-gu is a very developed district of Seoul with famous landmarks such as the Lotte World Tower & Mall, Lotte World, Olympic Stadium, World Peace Gate, etc.

Our brand-new Songpa campus is now under renovation and will be able to host up to 120 students and 25 staff members. We are confident that our brand-new beautiful campus will be a pleasant place to work. FYI, a picture of our lobby is attached.

We plan to open for service starting July of 2022 and we are accepting applications.

*Our priority is to hire teachers who can start mid/late June (FT, one-year contract, renewable).

*We are also open to hiring short-term (mid/late June to September, 3 months) teachers (salary is negotiable but we promise it will be very competitive).



Due to the teaching visa complications/regulations in Korea, an applicant must be a citizen of Canada, the U.S., the U.K., Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa.



Owners/managers are a relatively young group of friends including two Canadians who have long worked as native English teachers in Korea. We thus well understand the difficulties and needs of native teachers living in Korea.

Our primary objective is to create a working environment where foreign teachers are not be considered as "a temporary tool" but valuable members of our project.

We have a strong background in teacher training and management. We will support those enthusiastic native English speakers to become native English TEACHERS.

We also have systematic in-house and franchise-supported teacher-training and promotion programs, things that most schools do not have.

Start date: Mid-June or July, 2022



Location: Songpa-gu, Seoul



Students: Kindergarten to elementary



Hours: 9:00 to 18:00
(lunch meal and 1-hour break are provided, hours may change for example from 8:30 to 17:30)
There will be no overwork! If in any rare case, we ask you to work after hours (due to school events, etc.), you will be compensated accordingly.



Salary: Starting at 2,200,000 won/month (entry-level) to 3,000,000 won/month;
There are 9 levels in our pay-scale system up to 3,000,000 won/month. Our very transparent pay system and the standards will be presented during the interview.



*Salary is highly adjustable based on experience, certification, license, major, qualifications, interviews, etc.
*In addition, we have an in-house teacher-promotion program (4 levels; Teacher, Superb Teacher, Master Teacher, Honor Teacher) for you to further excel your career as a teacher (and of course get a salary increase).



Housing benefit: You may choose to receive a fixed allowance of 600,000 won/month or we will provide a clean studio near the campus.



Benefits: Pension, health, severance

Relocation allowance (FT only): 1,000,000 won (one-time) to even those applying in Korea

Vacation: 11 days + national holidays (vacation days must be used during the campus breaks in summer/winter)



Required qualifications: BA degree or higher, ability to work with children, motivation to excel as a teacher, willingness to receive relevant training to improve your teaching ability
