Gapyeong is a popular destination for Koreans on weekends. If you have an international driver's license or you want to exchange your Korean driver's license, use a small car (this is a huge benefit not offered by the school). There are several supermarkets in front of your apartment. There is a long bus stop within 10 minutes walk and the subway station is a 10 minute walk. Gapyeong is close to Gangwon-do in the east of Seoul. It takes about 45 minutes to get to the center of Seoul by express train. It is an hour and a half near the subway. It is the best in the world of Korea living in Gapyeong. It is surrounded by mountains, rivers and nature, but is close enough to go to Seoul on weekends. Compared to Seoul, the air is clean.
