Professional Linguistic Upper Studies (PLUS) operates English as a Foreign Language (EFL) program worldwide. Headquartered in New York, Plus America Corporation operates summer English language study tours for high school students in Los Angeles, Miami, and New York. This program provides students with the opportunity to stay in an American college and take English lessons to explore the surrounding area.


Location Description:

Depending on the curriculum offered by EFL instructors, English classes are offered in foreign languages ​​to international high schools. Classes focus on listening and speaking skills EFL instructors report directly to the university supervisor.

calendar :

The employment period is in the summer of 2018. Flexible dates can be set according to the flexibility of the instructor. Most students participate in the PLUS program during a two-week session. PLUS runs a back-to-back session during the summer.

Participants receive approximately 30 hours of English instruction per week for two weeks, or approximately 15 hours per week. Each session has 10 hours of instruction, each of which is 3 hours. Classes are held Monday through Saturday, with an average of about 4 days per week. Classes are offered in both morning classes (9:00 am to 12:00 pm) and afternoon classes (1:00 pm to 4:00 pm). Classes are usually morning only or afternoon. The class size is usually 15 people.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Offering English as a foreign language learning, fully prepared by professional and attractive methods in various classrooms of international high school students
Review the courses offered by PLUS and prepare each class properly. Instructors should be prepared to add their own textbooks to the curriculum as needed.
Assessing whether students are receiving the correct level of instruction
Oral assessment of students' proficiency according to the direction of an academic supervisor
Practice appropriate classroom management skills to ensure a safe, comfortable and engaging learning environment for all students
Teaching methods and PLUS curriculum collaborate with academic supervisor and PLUS headquarters
Attend training sessions and additional meetings hosted by academic supervisors
Maintain voluntary and professional communication with academic supervisors
Perform other assigned tasks

Qualifications and Desirable Skills:

I need a work permit in the US
Must be at least 18 years old
A bachelor's degree is required (at the start). TESOL certificate and / or master's degree preferred
Previous EFL / ESL teaching experience strongly recommended
Strong experience in multicultural language classroom
Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel Google Drive Command Recommended
